The Canadian Chapter's REmmy Awards program recognizes outstanding performance, innovation and leadership in Corporate Real Estate and workplace management.

The 2021 REmmy Awards Gala will be presented virtually. Be a part of this prestigious event as we celebrate the finalists and present the awards to the winners.

Call for Submissions - Deadline is September 30th has been extended to Monday, October 4th out of respect for the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation.

CoreNet Global Canadian Chapter’s annual REMMY AWARDS program recognizes and honours leadership excellence, innovation, and sustainable design and social responsibility incorporate real estate and workplace management.

  • Entry deadline: October 4th at 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
  • Please note the entry deadline as this date is final. No extensions will be given. The system will automatically prevent entry submission after the deadline.

On NOVEMBER 24, 2021, hundreds of industry professionals-CoreNet Global Canadian Chapter members, valued sponsors and friends of CoreNet-will gather virtually for an unforgettable awards evening including a virtual networking reception and recognition of all award Finalists for their outstanding achievements. To end this one-of-a-kind night, we will celebrate the 7 remarkable winning individuals/teams of the 10th Annual REmmy Awards!

  • Award nominations and submissions are open to both members and non-members of CoreNet Global Canadian Chapter, regardless of the size or location of any project. Nominations and submissions are accepted in more than one category, with the option to self-nominate.
  • You may edit your entry after submitting, up until the entry deadline.
  • Please make sure all your personal details are entered accurately, including contact details, as this will be used in the awards presentation if selected as a finalist.
  • You are eligible to enter more than one category, as long as the work submitted meets the criteria.
  • You can use the ‘copy’ feature to create a copy of your entry and change the category as required.

Please Note: All submissions become the sole property of the CoreNet Global Canadian Chapter. All finalists and winners of a REmmy Award authorize the CoreNet Global Canadian Chapter, CoreNet Global and each of their representatives (“CoreNet”) to use their names and reference such other information pertaining to their submissions as CoreNet reasonably requires and to take their photographs in all forms of media (including video with audio content) and to use, publish, reproduce, edit, translate, distribute, display and otherwise use same on an exclusive basis in whole or in part with or without their names and without compensation to them for any lawful purpose such as publicity, illustration, advertising and web content.

Awards Overview

Volunteer of the Year Award
The Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes a CoreNet Global Canadian Chapter volunteer or volunteers who have gone above and beyond in supporting the work of the Chapter in an effort to elevate the practice of corporate of real estate.

CSR Leadership Award – Climate Change
The CSR Climate Change Award recognizes a Canadian organization, department or individual whose culture, product or project best demonstrates leadership, innovation and commitment to addressing climate change as it relates to workspace, including illustrating a vision for a low carbon future, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and a recognition of the impact of real estate on climate.

CSR Leadership Award –Accessibility, Diversity & Inclusion
The CSR Accessibility, Diversity and Inclusion Award recognizes a Canadian organization, department or individual whose culture, product or project best demonstrates leadership, innovation and outstanding commitment to Accessibility, Diversity & Inclusion as it relates to the workplace. The submission could be a built or unbuilt concept.

Wellness Leadership in Real Estate Award
The Wellness Leadership in Real Estate Award recognizes a Canadian corporation or landlord that is redefining wellness in the built environment; going above and beyond industry standards. Through innovative design, and features of the physical space, this award acknowledges contribution to the improvement of well-being in physical, mental and social aspects.

Workplace Excellence Award- over 50,000 sq. ft
This Workplace Excellence Award recognizes a team whose collaboration and vision on a specific project over 50,000 sq. ft. raised the bar for real estate in Canada, and brought innovation and sustainability to the workplace. The project team should include a corporate real estate executive and the project service providers on a specific project (including, but not limited to: architect, contractor, project manager) and describe relationships within the project.

Workplace Excellence Award- 20,000- 50,000 sq. ft
This Workplace Excellence Award recognizes a team whose collaboration and vision on a specific project 20,000 to 50,000 sq. ft. raised the bar for real estate in Canada, and brought innovation and sustainability to the workplace. The project team should include a corporate real estate executive and the project service providers on a specific project (including, but not limited to: architect, contractor, project manager) and describe relationships within the project.

Workplace Excellence Award- 5,000- 20,000 sq. ft
This Workplace Excellence Award recognizes a team whose collaboration and vision on a specific project 5,000 to 20,000 sq. ft. raised the bar for real estate in Canada, and brought innovation and sustainability to the workplace. The project team should include a corporate real estate executive and the project service providers on a specific project (including, but not limited to: architect, contractor, project manager) and describe relationships within the project.

Workplace Excellence Award- under 5,000 sq. ft
This Workplace Excellence Award recognizes a team whose collaboration and vision on a specific project under 5,000 sq. ft. raised the bar for real estate in Canada, and brought innovation and sustainability to the workplace.
