Thomas G. Burns is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and a trustee of Allied Properties REIT. Tom joined Allied in January 2011 and oversees all leasing transactions, operations and key supplier relationships for Allied’s growing portfolio of properties in Canada. Prior to joining Allied, Tom was Senior Vice President, Retail for DTZ Barnicke, as well as a member of DTZ’s Global Management Committee. During Tom’s 30-year career, he has distinguished himself in the Canadian Real Estate community in both the leasing of retail space and consulting on the repositioning of existing retail properties.

Derek is currently Vice President, Development with First Gulf Corporation, a commercial real estate developer based in Toronto. First Gulf provides the full spectrum of expertise on mixed use, office, retail and industrial development projects and has delivered over $4 billion of developed assets. Derek is responsible for leading the development of East Harbour, a 60-acre site in downtown Toronto which is planned to include approximately 12-million sq. ft. of office, retail, entertainment, institutional and cultural uses upon full build-out.

As Senior Director, Office Leasing, North America with Ivanhoé Cambridge, Charlie is responsible for overseeing Toronto office leasing which is currently heavily weighted towards the pre-leasing of the 3-million sq. ft. CIBC Square office development. With over 14 years of leasing experience, Charlie’s career spans various global markets, including Hong Kong and New York City.  Charlie sits on the Board of Directors of the NAIOP Greater Toronto Chapter (Chair of the Education Committee) and he is a Member of the Resource Development Committee for Eva’s Initiatives.

Caitlin has successfully helped such high profile corporations as Visa, Xerox, RSA, and various traditional firms embrace an agile work environment.  She is a creative lead and dedicated mentor as evidenced by previous work as part of the Design Faculty at the Academy of Design at RCC Institute of Technology, and her continued role as facilitator of the HOK internship program.
